Quidditch time
Katie nodded. “Can be a bit confusing. I’m a halfblood. Mum’s a witch, and Dad’s a muggle.” As soon as he mentioned peaceful, a police car drove past and turned it’s sirens on for a few seconds. She waved to it, recognising it as one of the guys that worked with Dad. “It’s usually pretty quiet, yeah. And Misery’s is just over there.” She nodded towards a place just up the road.
Duncan nodded and smiled. “Oh, ok. Not to much farther. Someone you knew?” He motioned to the car that passed, almost jumping out of his skin as it bleeped it’s sirens at them. “Will you get in trouble for not being in school?”
Katie laughed as he jumped. “Yeah, Dad works with them. And they know I wouldn’t skip class, so it’s fine.” She crossed the street and walked into Misery’s. The cafe was decked out in New Age kinda stuff, and Katie always thought it was the perfect place for students to hang. If strange things happened here, they were ignored, since Elaine believed in magic. Of course, all her beliefs were wrong, but it meant that students could get away with small displays of magic here. She led Duncan over to a table and sat down, waving over at Ben.
